What are Popular Updates?
Popular Updates are a representation of the most viewed articles on the Web Indexes group of sites. Most of the updates change daily as viewing patterns changes.
Occassionally media focus on certain events will trigger articles to be retained for several days, as people use our sites to reasearch facts and supplementary information. To combat this behaviour we have set a maximum override of 4 days where an article can be flagged as popular, after 4 days the secondary article becomes prime.
